Directions to the institute (or coming elsewhere from the West) Take I-64 East to IL. Rte. 127 South, exit 50 (Nashville, IL). Follow IL. Rte. 127 South to Murphysboro (just under an hour). Follow IL. Rte. 13 (which becomes Walnut Street in town) to US Rte. 51 South (which is University Avenue in town). Take a right on University Avenue. Follow University Avenue through three stoplights to the entrance of campus on right side of road (watch for SIU Power Plant and Football Stadium). Take a right on to Lincoln Drive (which circles campus). Follow Lincoln Drive for one half to three quarters of a mile until you pass Neckers Building. Turn right into the first parking lot after the Neckers Building (three story brick). The institute is immediately on your left as you enter the parking lot.
